Warsaw, 19 September 2025 – The GreenME Project consortium gathered in Warsaw, Poland, from 17 to 19 September 2025 for its 3rd General Assembly Meeting (GAM). Hosted by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and led by Work Package 2 leader Renata Giedych, the meeting marked the halfway point of the Horizon Europe project, which is dedicated to advancing green care to improve adults’ mental health and wellbeing equity.
Over the course of three days, partners from across Europe came together to share progress, address challenges, and chart the next steps.
Sessions included:
- Project review and direction: reflecting on the outcomes of the recent European Commission Review Meeting and aligning on priorities.
- Research and collaboration: advancing joint scientific papers, sharing progress on audits and surveys, and exchanging ideas across Work Packages to maximise impact.
- Capacity building and outreach: developing online learning resources, brainstorming national schemes and guidelines, and strengthening communication and dissemination strategies to reach policymakers, practitioners, and citizens.
- Equity and inclusion: a dedicated session on gender equity highlighted GreenME’s commitment to fairness and inclusivity in research and practice.
- New voices and perspectives: PhD researchers presented their work, underlining the project’s role in nurturing the next generation of sustainability experts.
- Stakeholder feedback: the Advisory Group provided valuable insights to guide future actions and ensure GreenME’s work remains relevant and impactful.
Beyond the meeting rooms, participants also had the chance to reconnect with nature through a hands-on study tour, “Nature in the City”. Visits to the Cooperative Urban Farm “Most” the Warsaw Uprising Mound Park, and the Open Jazdów Neighbourhood offered inspiring examples of how urban green spaces can shape healthier, more resilient cities.
“We are happy to have hosted the 3rd GreenME GAM. It was an inspiring get-together that brought everyone around the table to exchange thoughts and energy. The meeting gave the Consortium a great chance to look back on what we’ve achieved, map out the next steps, and, most of all, share ideas and connect with each other” – shared Renata Giedych.
The Warsaw meeting was not only a moment to take stock of progress but also a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and the shared mission of creating positive change.
